With a keen eye for unique perspectives, Matt brings a personal touch to his strategic and tactical expertise. Over the last 20 years, he’s stayed on the cutting edge of a rapidly evolving industry. Leading teams around the world, his campaigns and initiatives span a variety of traditional and digital platforms. From his time working for world-class PR agencies in NYC, through his development at IBM, Matt has gathered a wealth of information about the inner workings of the agency world.
Over the course of his 15 year career with industry giant, IBM, Matt worked with a variety of professionals, from leading scientists to multinational corporate executives. Having served in every station, from entry-level to Vice President of Corporate Communications, he has a rich and multifaceted knowledge base. As a team leader, he has assembled and motivated the individuals responsible for building the brand and communications strategy behind IBM’s multibillion dollar business.
A truly global citizen, he completed two separate assignments in Africa, and traveled to over a dozen countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe. This experience gave him unique insight into international business culture.
During his time at IBM, he helped take several brands from ideas to realities and revenue, including IBM MobileFirst. Matt was also part of the core team that developed IBM’s Smarter Planet initiatives.
He holds a B.A. from the School of Journalism at San Diego State University. While San Diego remains Matt’s favorite place to be, he calls New Jersey home. When he’s not in the office, Matt taps into his other sources of inspiration, creativity and endurance – his wife Monica and their three wonderful children – Jack, Lyla and Sam – who are all extended members of the Green Ink-Conversion team.

Gary Schaefer is an award-winning executive with extensive expertise in all facets of marketing communications. He has a knack for developing programs that drive clear value propositions in support of strategic marketing initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. He holds a BS in Marketing as well as a Master’s in Business, is a published author and all-around creative juggernaut. A former client, Gary joined Green Ink-Conversion Marketing in 2003, and has since helped transform the business into a true marketing ‘agency’, with strong processes combined with flexibility.
